  1. A Moment to myself
    1. This class is about you.
    2. You will have the opportunity to learn about yourself and to experiment with things to see how they effect you and others.
    3. The Artists job is to explore life and share it with others.
    4. Think about the most enjoyable thing you did this summer.
    5. Before we move on write down what you were thinking about on the form provided.

      2. The Rest of the Week - Something good that happened to you since the last class.

    10. Create a short group video presentation on how to use your camera and the differences between different cameras.
  9. WED. - Create an image of you that shows what right and left brain qualities you like best, not so much, and not at all.
  10. Begin WED. - Look at the Right and Left brain photography book and pick one right brain assignment and one left brain assignment for the group. Everyone will be responsible for their own photo for the assignments.
  11. WED. - Create a seating chart
    1. As a group research a portrait lighting set up or find a portrait with lighting that you really like for each member in the group.
    2. Discuss it as a group and decide which one you (the group) will use.
    3. Set up the lighting and test it out.
    4. When you get the ok from Mr. D Take a head shot of everyone in the class including yourselves.
    5. PhotoShop images for exposure.
    6. Crop the heads 1 and 1/2 in. x 1in.
    7. Place the head shots on the seating chart form provided.
  12. Check out the photography of David Hockney
    1. In your group discuss what you think Hockney is doing with his photogrphy. Have info from the internet to back up your ideas. Do you agree with what you read on the internet?

    1. Mon. Paying attention to sound.
    2. Tues through Fri. Paying attention to your breath.
      1. Finding your anchor.
    3. In your journal, list any emotions you remember having in the past 24 hours. Yhey do not have to be strong and they do not have to be negative. Just anything you remember about the past 24 hours. Also write if you cannot remember. This is an exercise in paying attention to how we are feeling. Then pay attentions until the next class to any emotions that arise. Write them down over the next 24 hours.
  3. HOMEWORK - In your journal, list things that attract your attention both visually and emotionally. Try to pay attention moment to monent though out the day and evening. Pay attention especially when you are outside of school, but don't ignore what interests you in school. The smallest, simplest thing is fair game. All emotions are fair game but be sure to indicate what triggered the emotion.

    1. Due Thurs. -Look at the Right and Left brain photography book and pick one right brain assignment and one left brain assignment for the group. Everyone will be responsible for their own photo for the assignments.
    2. Create a seating chart - Due Fri.
      1. As a group research a portrait lighting set up or find a portrait with lighting that you really like for each member in the group.
      2. Discuss it as a group and decide which one you (the group) will use.

        3. Where do you think your picture falls in these catagories?

      1. Make a folder with your name on it and place all the work you've done for the week in it... LABELED.
      2. Pick your best 2 shots that should be ready to print and label them 1and your last name and 2 and your last name.
      3. Some of the shots should be pictures on your own.
      4. The Work is due in the folder on Mon. of each week. 10 points off for each day late.
    2. WHAT'S DUE IN THE WEEK 3 GRAING FOLDER
      1. Min. of 20 new shots due in the folder each week.
      2. Best 2 show quality shots for the week
